Telecom Test Technician – Responsibilities
- Component-Level Repairs
: Expertly handle soldering equipment to replace or rework defective electronic components on circuit boards, following industry quality standards. - Software Configuration
: Update, configure, and test software in repaired units to ensure optimal performance in line with manufacturer specifications. - Testing & Diagnostics
: Use diagnostic tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.) to troubleshoot, test, and validate telecom hardware functionality. - Documentation
: Accurately log all repairs, test results, parts used, and any deviations from standard procedures in technical logs or maintenance systems. - Standards Compliance
: Apply knowledge of telecommunication standards (GSM, WCDMA, LTE, 5G NR) to diagnose issues and verify performance of repaired units. - Soldering Excellence
: Perform precision soldering on both surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole components while maintaining high quality to prevent rework or additional faults.
Requirements :
- Education
: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field. - Experience
: Prior experience in telecom equipment repair or electronics testing preferred. - Technical Skills
: - Strong foundation in electronics repair principles.
- Proficiency in schematic diagram interpretation and component-level troubleshooting.
- Skilled in SMT and through-hole soldering techniques.
Knowledge
: Understanding of telecom technologies including GSM, WCDMA, LTE, and 5G NROther Skills
:- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good English communication (written & verbal).
- Ability to work independently and in team settings.
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
