We are looking for a proactive and detail-driven PPC (Production Planning & Control) Engineer to support the efficient execution of shipbuilding projects. This role plays a crucial part in coordinating production activities, developing schedules, monitoring progress, and ensuring that all construction milestones are met on time and within budget. This position will work closely with engineering, procurement, and project teams to align production plans with project goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed production schedules and work breakdown structures (WBS) for ship newbuilding projects.
  • Coordinate with project, engineering, procurement, and yard teams to align planning with actual production activities.
  • Monitor production progress, identify delays or deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Analyze capacity planning and resource allocation to ensure project timelines are achievable.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports to support project reviews and decision-making.
  • Ensure that materials, equipment, and manpower are available in line with the production schedule.
  • Support implementation of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Interface with shipyard production departments to coordinate sequencing and workflow.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, utilization, and schedule adherence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in production planning and control, preferably in a shipyard or maritime engineering company.
  • Familiar with shipbuilding processes, materials flow, and block construction methodology.
  • Proficient in production planning tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and under pressure in a dynamic environment.
