Warehouse Supervisor

About the Role

PT. Sinotrans Overseas Indonesia is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Warehouse Supervisor to lead and optimize our spare part warehousing operations, specifically for a key telecommunication project.

Based at our primary facility in Kawasan Industri MM2100, Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java, this critical role involves overseeing all operational aspects—from daily management and robust inventory control to driving continuous improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will be a strong leader with a proven background in warehouse management within the logistics industry, particularly managing telecommunication infrastructure products. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring we meet and exceed our operational targets and uphold the highest client expectations across our regional network.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy & Policy: Develop and implement regional warehouse strategies and policies to enhance efficiency, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
• Operational Oversight: Manage the daily operations of spare part warehouse facilities, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards, quality control, and compliance regulations.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of warehouse staff, cultivating a culture of high performance, accountability, and continuous learning.
• Inventory Management: Implement and maintain robust inventory management systems, ensuring high accuracy, minimizing discrepancies, and optimizing stock levels for telecommunication infrastructure products.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with transportation, sales, and customer service teams to ensure seamless end-to-end logistics solutions.
• Process Improvement: Identify, champion, and implement new technologies and process improvements to elevate warehouse operations and service delivery (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma methodologies).
• Budget Management: Develop and manage operational budgets, monitoring expenses and identifying strategic cost-saving opportunities.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all activities comply with national and international regulations (including customs and hazardous materials handling) and prepare detailed reports on performance metrics for senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5-10 years of progressive experience in warehouse management.
• At least 3-5 years in a regional or multi-site leadership role within a 3PL or freight forwarding environment.
• Crucial: Demonstrated experience managing warehouses that specifically handle spare parts for telecommunication infrastructure products or direct experience within a telecommunication infrastructure company.
• Technical Proficiency:
• Proven expertise in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and other relevant logistics software.
• Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Proven expertise in creating and delivering compelling presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of inventory management principles, Lean Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively manage diverse teams.
• Solid analytical, problem-solving, and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Language: Proficiency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.

Additional Requirements & Preferences:

• A Master's degree is a plus.
• Proficiency in Mandarin (speaking, reading, and writing) is highly preferred.
• Willingness to be placed and reside in Kawasan Industri MM2100, Cibitung, Bekasi, West Java, and to support the management of warehouses across Indonesia.
• Willingness to work under an outsourcing employment status.
• Flexibility to work in 3 shifts and/or long hours as required by operational needs.
• Willingness to travel frequently to various warehouse locations across Indonesia.
