Position Summary:
The Marketing Staff is responsible for overseeing product development samples, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, managing shipping documentation, and ensuring product quality meets buyer expectations. This role coordinates with the R&D, purchasing, and production teams to ensure all materials and samples are sourced, tested, and shipped on time and to the correct specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Sample & Material Management
Follow up on sample development, ensuring it meets buyer specifications and quality standards, including UPK and panel unit's samples.
- Lead sourcing of hardware, fabrics, and other materials required for both new production and sample development.
Coordinate with Purchasing to ensure materials match R&D specifications and are delivered on time.
Pre-Production Sample (PPS) & R&D Coordination
Assist R&D in following up on Pre-Production Samples (PPS) to ensure they meet buyer specifications and required quality standards.
Work with the R&D team to implement feedback and necessary revisions during the sample approval process.
Shipping Documents & Compliance
Prepare and ensure the completeness of all export shipping documents (e.g., invoices, packing lists, COOs, Bill of Lading) in accordance with international trade regulations and buyer requirements.
- Ensure compliance with SVLK, wood legality certifications, and other regulatory standards.
Work with freight forwarders and customs authorities to ensure timely shipping and delivery of products.
Color Panel & Label Management
Oversee the color panel process, including renewals, testing, and product development (PD) needs.
Coordinate with internal teams regarding the preparation and labeling of parts.
Buyer Reporting & Quality Feedback
Prepare weekly reports on production or sample status and communicate these to buyers.
- Gather and document buyer quality feedback, and work with R&D and the production team to address any issues.
- Lead communication efforts with the production team during quality meetings to ensure product standards are met.
Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's in Architecture
- Experience: 3 years in marketing, export management, or related fields (experience in the furniture industry is preferred).
Skills:
Strong understanding of shipping documentation and international trade compliance.
- Familiarity with R&D processes, sample management, and material sourcing.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with a focus on detail and timeliness.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with export management software is a plus.
- Ability to communicate in English (written and verbal).
