Key Duties and Responsibilities

The incumbent will support in overseeing and managing EHS across the country’s construction and DC operation portfolios. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, ensuring EHS compliance and performance of construction projects and DC operations; ensuring alignment with Company EHS Group Minimum Standards (GMS), in-country statutory and code requirements; collaborating with and supporting the Senior Manager of EHS and the business functions to identify EHS gaps and risks; reviewing and recommending robust processes and procedures for implementation to improve EHS performance; assisting in identifying and addressing EHS training needs and developing improvement plans to ensure EHS competence within the businesses.

  • Assist the Senior Manager of EHS in establishing and implementing a robust EHS Management System, including all relevant company-wide EHS processes, procedures, protocols, and programs, aligned with the Group EHS framework.
  • Assist the Senior Manager of EHS in maintaining the country/business EHS Management System; facilitate internal and external audits and certification processes where required.
  • Provide support in managing construction projects (including A&A and customer fit-out) and DC operations; ensure EHS Standards, statutory obligations, and regulatory requirements are implemented and maintained throughout each project/operation.
  • Collaborate with supply chain partners’ onsite management to ensure effective EHS implementation.
  • Work with Data Centre Operations teams and contractors to ensure work activities are planned and executed safely and in compliance with EHS requirements.
  • Review high-risk work processes and documentation (risk assessments, safe work procedures, worker competencies, equipment licenses, etc.) and oversee high-risk work execution.
  • Conduct 6-monthly EHS compliance audits for construction and A&A projects; prepare reports and close out findings with stakeholders.
  • Plan and perform regular EHS assurance walkdowns, task observations and inspections; report findings and track corrective actions to closure.
  • Oversee all EHS incidents, including near misses; ensure they are reported and investigated per Incident Management Standards.
  • Review incident reports and investigations for completeness and monitor injury management as required.
  • Attend essential EHS meetings/reviews and prepare minutes as directed by the Senior Manager of EHS.
  • Assist in planning, developing and executing EHS programs, procedures and awareness activities.
  • Support other EHS activities and tasks as assigned by the Senior Manager of EHS for construction and data center operations.
  • Facilitate sharing of EHS knowledge and lessons learned to drive continual improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree/Tertiary Level Qualification in Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in managing EHS in construction, with at least two years in a live asset operation environment. EHS experience in data center construction and facility management is an advantage.
  • Experience in developing and rolling out EHS management systems and programs, with data analytics and reporting of leading and lagging indicators.
  • Experience in achieving positive EHS outcomes in challenging environments.
  • Recognized EHS-related professional certification/accreditation is required.
  • Technical knowledge in EHS management, preferably in a data center environment.
  • Knowledge of international EHS standards and best practices is an advantage.
  • Written and verbal communication skills in English and the local language (Bahasa Indonesia).
