Role Description

PT Samudera Agencies Indonesia (part of PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk Group) is currently looking for qualified individuals to join our team at the Head Office – Jakarta.

Main Responsibilities

  • Request a ship schedule and documents needed for the import process and ship registration for ships that are being agented for the first time.

  • Make operational cost calculations and request ops costs from vendors.

  • Receive emails from ships and answer regarding ship arrivals and ship berthing plans (berthing schedule).

  • Uploading documents to the INSW system (Inaportnet, quarantine, immigration, customs and phinisi)for vessel arrival and departure.

  • Monitoring of ships during berthing and departure process.

  • Monitoring the process of ship activities while berth at the terminal for loading & unloading.

  • Create and send the arrival report and departure report to the principal.

  • Coordinate with Pelindo/scouting for smooth mooring/departure of ships.

General Responsibilities

  • Ensure the implementation of an Integrated Management System, including the identification, documentation, and control of risks in the relevant department's work area.

  • Foster and ensure the commitment of every team member to understand and adhere to all applicable Integrated Management System requirements.

  • Be willing to participate in the investigation process of accidents, incidents, or actions that may lead to incidents caused by unsafe actions or unsafe conditions, including providing accurate information and reports based on known facts.

  • Be willing to engage in the information security control process applied to protect the information assets and information processing assets owned and/or managed by the Company from threats to confidentiality, integrity, and availability.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position (seafaring academy graduates are preferred).

  • Prior experience in a shipping agency company would be a plus point.

  • Required skill(s): manage shipment, export and import policy & law.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Preferably staff (non-management & non-supervisor) specialized in logistics/supply chain or equivalent.

  • Fluent in English both speaking and writing.

  • Willing to be placed or going through business trips anywhere in Indonesia if required.
