Production Engineer – Mechanical (Automotive Car Seats)

We are looking for a Production Engineer with a strong Mechanical Engineering background to join our automotive car seat manufacturing plant. This role focuses on production support, mechanical design optimization, and continuous improvement of processes and layouts. It is open to early-career professionals or fresh graduates with internship experience, offering hands‑on exposure to engineering design, simulation, and production efficiency projects in the automotive industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings using SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD to support product design and ensure production readiness.
  • Conduct mechanical simulations (stress, strain, thermal, and dynamic analysis) to validate component integrity, safety, and performance.
  • Design and optimize mechanical parts that are functional, efficient, and suitable for mass production.
  • Perform Time & Motion Studies to identify inefficiencies and drive productivity improvements across production lines.
  • Support production engineering activities in layout design, process flow, and machine utilization to ensure efficient and ergonomic operations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to resolve production challenges, lead Kaizen initiatives, and apply benchmarking strategies to elevate manufacturing standards.
  • Analyze field feedback and production performance data to improve existing designs, tools, and methods.
  • Prepare and present technical documentation, including simulation results, process studies, and engineering reports, to supervisors and stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum Associate/Bachelor's degree (D3/S1) in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering fields.
  • Proficient in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD, capable of producing and interpreting mechanical drawings and technical documentation.
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical principles, materials, and basic simulation techniques.
  • Strong analytical thinking, structured problem‑solving ability, and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Proactive, results‑driven, and open to continuous improvement.
  • Fresh graduates welcome; relevant internship or project experience is an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified in CAD/CAM software, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, BNSP, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience in labor‑intensive or high‑volume manufacturing is a plus.
Manufacturing Engineering Support

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure that on‑site work adheres to safety standards.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly works schedule.
  • Supporting design and simulation to ease understanding during RFQs.
  • Reviewing designs for new tools from tooling makers.
  • Conducting trials and suggesting tooling improvement plans.
  • Co‑work with the MTN team on tooling problem analysis and improvement.
  • Co‑work with other departments (JIGs, special tools, etc.).
  • Creating 3D simulations of product output for each stage of the tooling process to simplify check sheets.
  • Have knowledge of electrical and mechanical parts.
  • Make improvement in production line.
  • In charge of machine and equipment modification related to development project.
  • Make and implement ideas for improvement in production line.
REQUIREMENTS
  • D3/S1 majoring in Mechanical & Electrical Engineering.
  • Good communication skill in English (both oral and written). Japanese language is a plus.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Measuring & Dimension Drawing, PLC, Electrical Shooting, AutoCAD, and SOLIDWORKS.
  • Experience in Mechanical design or improvement or Mechanical maintenance or Machine assembly or Processing (CNC programming, Manual machining operation, Press machine, Measurement dimension).
  • Experience working in Japan or a stamping company is an advantage.
  • Familiar with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Well‑organized, able to cooperate effectively, and good communication skill.
  • Willing to be placed and live in Cikarang Kab. Bekasi, Jawa Barat.
