We are hiring
As a Sysadmin, you'll be responsible for managing and securing our Linux-based server infrastructure. From system installation and performance tuning to database management and automation, you'll ensure high availability, data integrity, and operational efficiency across our IT environment. This role is critical in maintaining system stability, supporting cross-functional teams, and responding swiftly to incidents, especially in high-pressure situations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage Linux systems (Ubuntu & CentOS) in server environments, including installation, configuration, user management, permissions, and storage
  • Install, configure, and maintain application, database, and web servers based on business needs
  • Perform regular security patching, software upgrades, and maintain system documentation
  • Administer PostgreSQL databases, including backup strategies, performance tuning, and capacity monitoring
  • Monitor system health using tools like Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, or Nagios; perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot incidents to ensure high availability
  • Automate administrative tasks using Bash scripting and Python to improve operational efficiency and reduce human error
  • Configure and secure network components including firewall rules, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP; perform system hardening based on ISO 27001 standards

Required Qualifications

  • Proficient in Linux server administration (Ubuntu Server)
  • Solid understanding of PostgreSQL/MySQL database management
  • Strong grasp of networking concepts: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Firewall Rules, NAT, VLAN, and Routing
  • Knowledge of system security practices: hardening, patching, logging, auditing, backup & recovery
  • Skilled in configuring and troubleshooting Linux services (Apache/Nginx, database, storage, processes, user management)
  • Experienced in Bash scripting and familiar with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Grafana, Prometheus, or Nagios)
  • Familiar with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure, or private cloud)
  • Understanding of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, or Proxmox VE)
  • Basic knowledge of version control (Git) and Infrastructure as Code tools (Ansible, Terraform is a plus)
  • Able to quickly analyze and resolve issues (e.g., server downtime, slow network, application errors)
  • Adaptable to new technologies and environments (e.g., cloud migration, automation adoption)
  • Capable of explaining technical issues in simple terms to non-technical stakeholders
  • Writes clear documentation (SOPs, configurations, troubleshooting guides)
  • Responsive during off-hours and able to troubleshoot critical system failures
