About the Role
The Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability & Learning (MEAL) Specialist will lead the foundation's impact measurement, learning, and reporting systems to ensure that all programs and partnerships are evidence-based, data-driven, and deliver measurable social outcomes. This role will be instrumental in ensuring that the foundation's Insights – Connect – Impact pillars are effectively translated into actionable evidence and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities :M&E Framework Development
- Design and implement a comprehensive M&E framework aligned with the foundation's focus on Insights – Connect – Impact and impact areas on education, protection, economic opportunities, and leadership development.
- Develop indicators, data collection tools, and methodologies to measure program effectiveness and partnership outcomes.
- Establish and maintain a beneficiary tracking system to monitor participation, progress, and the overall impact of foundation initiatives.
Data Management & Analysis
- Collect, validate, and analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to assess program performance and outcomes.
- Produce regular impact reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to inform management, partners, and donors.
Production of Evidence-Based Models (Profile & Program Framework)
- In partnership with Research Agency partners and the Program Division, produce evidence-based models to identify real needs and locally-rooted solutions to address poverty and inequality.
Learning & Improvement
- Generate insights from M&E findings to inform strategic decisions and improve program effectiveness.
- Document and share key learnings and impact stories to strengthen the foundation's thought leadership to our partners and external stakeholders.
Capacity Building
- Strengthen the capacity of internal teams and local grassroots partners/CSOs in impact measurement, data collection, and reporting tools.
- Provide coaching and technical assistance to ensure consistent data quality and learning culture across programs.
Accountability & Compliance
- Ensure adherence to data quality standards, ethical research practices, and donor reporting requirements.
- Safeguard the integrity, confidentiality, and accuracy of all data and evaluations.
- 5+ years of experience in M&E, preferably in philanthropy, international development, or social impact sectors.
- Strong skills in data visualization, research methods, and evaluation design.
- Experience with impact frameworks (e.g., Theory of Change, SDG alignment, outcome mapping).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in statistics, social research, development studies, or related field (Preferred).
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills to generate actionable insights from quantitative and qualitative information.
- Excellent monitoring and evaluation design skills to develop frameworks, indicators, and tools aligned with program objectives.
- Proficient data visualization and reporting skills to present impact results clearly and effectively for diverse audiences.
- Solid learning and knowledge management skills to capture lessons learned and promote continuous improvement.
- Effective partnership and capacity-building skills to support program teams and local partners in strengthening impact measurement.
