We Are Looking For

As the Mechanical Design Engineer, you will report to the Datacenter Solution Manager to support the Engineering team. You will be responsible for review the design of Mechanical work and ensure the Project is successfully executed and completed.

To succeed in this role, you should have extensive knowledge and experience in mechanical engineering, with excellent communication and organizational skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review all cooling designs and coordinate with consultants and vendors for detailed engineering & Generic Flow Controls while providing feedback as per site requirement
  • Coordinate with all relevant internal and external stakeholders to support flawless execution of projects and continue to effectively manage all stakeholder relationships
  • Coordinate with site contractors to resolve site related design issues for proper installation
  • Lead the execution of complete mechanical system included but not limited to: Fuel system, Domestic water piping, Fire System, Cooling System (including HVAC low side for floor, terrace, shafts, PAHU, Chiller) to commissioning
  • Create and maintain comprehensive Design documentation and drive the IST prior to project handover phase
  • Effectively maintain all the documentation related to design, installation, testing and commissioning
  • Ensure a seamless transition post project closure by undertaking all necessary handover activities with relevant stakeholders including fulfilling necessary documentation requirements
  • Prepare guidelines for safety checks/ risks assessment for cooling equipment and accordingly create checklists
  • Drive contractors to safety compliance during the construction

Requirements:

  • Diploma/ Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in DC infrastructure executing mission critical facilities
  • Prior experience in Design Data center Mechanical Solutioning and handover to stakeholder within schedule
  • Prior experience/ engaged for carrying out IST with hyperscale customers in data centre projects
  • Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, BIM and MS Project
