Job Overview

Purpose Statement: This role is responsible for continuously improving test performance and equipment, troubleshooting complex issues, supporting equipment installation and changes, and providing technical guidance. Test engineers also play a key role in implementing and validating testing equipment and identifying best practices globally.

Key Job Accountabilities
  • Develops manufacturing solutions / Provide services that are high‑quality, cost‑appropriate, and satisfy the customer's requirements while establishing an area of technical specialty and mentoring others on the team (in‑discipline).
  • Utilizes appropriate tools and equipment to perform necessary work including creation, analysis, and verification.
  • Demonstrates expertise in multiple phases/processes of the full Plexus Manufacturing process/product requirements & specifications as it applies to their role.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work independently within at least one phase/process for the manufacturing process/product, without direction from mentors or functional management, as it applies to their role.
  • Produces comprehensive project documentation in accordance with the quality and change management procedures and guidelines, as it applies to their role.
Education and Experience Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science is required; a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or higher is preferred.
  • Minimum Three (3) years of related experience is required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the key job accountabilities may be considered.

Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead a test technician to handle sub‑assembly and box build test.
  • Be in charge of diagnosing ICT, FCT, and RMA failure boards and controlling test failure WIP.
  • Implement and train test operators for new product's test strategy including design for test analysis and feedback.
  • Prepare yield improvement, yield report generation, failure analysis, quality feedback, and maintain low WIP.
  • Periodic calibration & maintenance of all equipment, jigs, and fixtures.
  • Responsible for releasing and analysing test yield report weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly.
  • Generate and define a test procedure of a product, maintaining and updating based on present requirements, and coordinating with DCC.
  • Daily updating of test WIP. Work with SMT manufacturing engineers, process engineers, and other cross‑functional groups to resolve maintenance issues, improve equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
  • Support continuous improvement activities for productivity and yield improvement.

  • Report to manager or senior management any quality problems or defects for corrective action to be implemented and to avoid recurrence.

Qualifications
  • Minimum Diploma/Bachelor Degree in Engineering.
  • Experience in same position for at least 2 years.
  • Perform failure analysis to determine root cause and reduce scraps due to unserviceable boards.
  • Set up test apparatus and equipment, and conduct functional testing.
  • Recommend changes in circuitry to improve installation specification, test method cycle time, and product performance.

Job Responsibilities – Battery Testing
  • Conduct testing and validation of lithium battery products according to company standards and safety requirements.
  • Perform circuit analysis, troubleshooting, and verification for electronic components in battery systems.
  • Work with triode, MOS tube, digital amplification circuits, and analog amplification circuits during testing and development processes.
  • Prepare detailed testing reports and provide technical feedback to the R&D and production teams.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Continuously improve testing methodologies to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements – Battery Testing
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, preferably with a concentration in Low Voltage Systems.
  • Strong understanding of triode, MOS tube, digital amplification circuits, and analog amplification circuits.
  • Hands‑on experience in circuit testing, debugging, and fault analysis.
  • Familiar with measurement instruments such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
Job Responsibilities – Test Performance
  • Assist our team in determining how many of our products pass the first time they are tested.
  • Help find ways to make our testing process faster and more efficient.
  • Analyze returned product data to identify failures.
  • Work with engineers to troubleshoot non‑functional products.
  • Assist in making production line changeovers quicker when switching between products.
  • Use customer feedback to improve products.
Qualifications – Test Performance
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of electronic circuits, semiconductors, and how they work.
  • Curiosity and willingness to investigate failures.
  • Ready to learn about our products and processes.
  • Must be able to speak English.
Work Conditions
  • Working hours: 12 hours per day.

Test Engineer – PCBA

Job Summary: Test Engineer ensures best product quality and functionality. This role involves designing, implementing, and executing test plans, tracking defects, and running tests on various components. The engineer also creates reports on production quality performance.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare test strategy, NRE cost and production cost during quotation activities.
  • Coordinate on development and fabrication of ICT/FCT testers for new projects.
  • Liase with customers to support various test issues/coverage/upgrades.
  • Support FA build testing & training before handover to mass production.
  • Liase with production to support NPI/test issues/hardcore troubleshooting with production team.
  • Interface to customer SQE/R&D on all RMA/technical matters.
Requirements
  • Degree/Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in contract manufacturing (PCBA/box build).
  • Ability to read and understand documents such as Gerber file, assembly drawing, schematic, test procedure/specification and BOM.
  • Ability to manage multiple project priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Candidate must be willing to travel occasionally.
Test Engineer – QA Automation
  • Design, develop, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts (manual and/or automated).
  • Execute functional, regression, integration, performance, and stress tests.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs or defects using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
  • Collaborate with developers and product teams to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.
  • Analyze test results and provide detailed feedback to improve product quality.
  • Participate in continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Maintain and improve automated testing frameworks.
  • Ensure test environments are configured correctly and maintained.

Prepare test reports and present quality metrics to stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Test Engineer, QA Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience with test automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JMeter, Postman).
  • Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
  • Experience with API testing and RESTful services.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
