Duties and Responsibilities
- Design, analyze, and review structural components of construction projects, ensuring they meet load and safety requirements.
- Utilize BIM tools such as Navisworks and Revit to create detailed structural models and coordinate with other building systems.
- Lead the structural design team in BIM implementation, managing workflows and coordinating with other project teams.
- Develop and enforce BIM best practices and standards in structural design phases.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior structural engineers and BIM technicians.
- Conduct structural inspections and audits during and post-construction phases to ensure compliance with design and safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects and MEP engineers, to resolve design challenges and optimize project outcomes.
- Prepare and present technical reports and structural analysis findings to stakeholders and project management teams.
Job Requirements
- Proven proficiency in BIM modeling with extensive experience using Navisworks and Revit.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 7 years of experience in structural engineering, with a significant focus on BIM in large-scale projects.
- Demonstrated ability to lead structural design teams and manage complex BIM projects.
- Strong understanding of structural engineering principles, construction methods, and safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and client interactions.
- Knowledge of current industry standards and regulations related to structural engineering and BIM, such as ISO 19650.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) or similar professional accreditation is highly desirable.
