Pastry & Bakery Chef – Pura Boga Group | New Kopitiam Concept Opening About the RolePura Boga Group is launching an exciting new kopitiam‑style restaurant, bringing together comfort food and fresh artisanal pastries under one roof.
We're looking for a Pastry & Bakery Chef to lead recipe development, production setup, and daily operations for our pastry and bread line.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and standardize recipes for breads, pastries, and café‑style desserts (e.g., soft buns, toast fillings, danish, croissant, chiffon, etc.)
- Manage daily pastry and bakery production to meet quality and volume targets
- Supervise preparation, proofing, baking, and finishing processes
- Control ingredient cost, waste, and stock rotation
- Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure consistent product standards
- Collaborate with R&D and operations team during pre‑opening and menu launches
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Pastry/Bakery Chef or equivalent position
- Experienced in setting up new production or commissary kitchen (a plus)
- Creative, detail‑oriented, and hands‑on in daily operations
- Able to work under pressure with high product consistency
