Currently, Black Owl has 5 outlets at PIK, Kelapa Gading, Gading Serpong, Surabaya, Medan and will open at SCBD.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in culinary R&D, menu development, or as a Head/Sous Chef with creative focus.
  • Strong knowledge of flavor pairing, food trends, and modern cooking techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and documentation skills.
  • Creative mindset with attention to detail and consistency.
  • Basic English for kitchen communication and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with chefs and management teams.
  • Understanding of food cost control, safety, and sanitation standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and refine innovative recipes that align with Black Owl's brand identity and culinary standards.
  • Research market and food trends to create dishes that are both creative and commercially viable.
  • Standardize recipes, portioning, and presentation to ensure consistency across outlets.
  • Collaborate with Head Chefs and kitchen teams to implement new menu items and improve existing ones.
  • Evaluate ingredient quality, cost efficiency, and supplier performance.
  • Conduct tasting sessions and gather feedback for continuous product improvement.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of product trials, recipes, and production methods.
