Key Responsibilities

1. Project Planning & Design Translation

  • Review architectural consultant drawings and translate them into civil engineering requirements
  • Develop preliminary layouts and technical drawings (AutoCAD/SketchUp) to support operational needs
  • Conduct site surveys for new projects
  • Ensure designs comply with local building codes, safety standards, and company requirements

2. Cost Estimation & Budgeting

  • Prepare cost estimates for civil works based on architect's drawing
  • Provide accurate budgeting support for new store openings, roastery relocation, and renovations
  • Evaluate value engineering options to optimize costs without compromising quality

3. Project Execution & Coordination

  • Act as the technical liaison between architects, contractors, and internal stakeholders
  • Supervise and monitor contractors' work to ensure adherence to design, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Prepare and update project schedules, track progress, and highlight risks/delays.

4. Quality Control & Compliance

  • Conduct site inspections to verify workmanship, structural integrity, and compliance with HSE standards
  • Ensure material selection and construction methods align with durability, sustainability, and brand requirements
  • Document as-built drawings and technical reports for each project

5. Existing Store Maintenance & Improvement

  • Assess structural and civil issues in existing stores and recommend solutions
  • Coordinate minor renovation works and repairs without disrupting operations
  • Create preventive maintenance plans for civil aspects (floors, walls, roofing, drainage)

6. Stakeholder & Reporting

  • Provide regular progress updates to Strategic Project Manager
  • Liaise with Legal for construction permits and compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • 3–5 years' experience in construction, fit-out, or civil project management
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, structural systems, and local building regulations
  • Skilled in AutoCAD & SketchUp
  • Experience in retail, hospitality, or industrial projects preferred
  • Strong analytical, communication, and coordination skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
