About the role

Wittur Pte Ltd is seeking a talented and experienced Senior Sales Engineer to work remotely in Jakarta, Indonesia. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for driving sales and providing technical expertise to our customers in the Indonesian market.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers, as well as identifying and securing new business opportunities
  • Providing technical support and solutions to customers, including product selection, configuration, and installation guidance
  • Collaborating with the engineering and R&D teams to understand product capabilities and features, and effectively communicate these to customers
  • Preparing and presenting proposals, quotes, and technical presentations to customers
  • Attending trade shows, conferences, and other industry events to represent the company and build brand awareness
  • Continuously monitoring the market, identifying trends, and providing insights to the sales and marketing teams
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely manner

What we're looking for

  • A university degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or business studies with strong technical exposure in industrial equipment or engineering-related fields
  • 3–5 years of proven experience in technical sales, customer service, or project support within industrial or engineering sectors
  • Proven track record of successfully driving sales and providing technical support to customers
  • Strong understanding of electrical/electronic engineering principles and the ability to translate technical information into practical solutions for customers
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Fluency in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Indonesia, with the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to travel within and outside Indonesia as required
  • Experience in the elevator industry is a strong advantage but not mandatory

Job Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage sales activities across Indonesia & support sales manager for other South-east Asia sales.
  • Customer engagement & account development: Proactively identify customer needs and develop new business opportunities across Indonesia. Conduct regular sales visits and calls to strengthen relationships and drive growth.
  • Provide technical consultation and product recommendations based on customer requirements. Respond to inquiries and support customers with engineering and product-related information.
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates and quotation with technical proposals by analysing customer specifications and project documents, and by collaborating with engineers, technical teams, and different factories to ensure solutions are feasible and meet customer requirements.
  • Handle order booking, technical clarifications, and delivery follow-ups. Ensure timely and accurate communication with customers throughout the order lifecycle.
  • Job site activities will include evaluating sites for upgrading projects, hands-on support for products and equipment delivered and installed at customer job sites, and handling claims or complaints.
  • Contributes to sales engineering effectiveness by identifying short-term and long-range key issues that must be addressed - providing information, recommending solutions and courses of action, implementing actions.
  • Ensure products and equipment meet local lift codes and regulations by keeping up to date with current legislation and anticipating possible future changes. Provide customers with guidance on compliance, product suitability, and actions required to meet legal and safety standards.
  • Willingness to travel and work in a global team of professionals.
