Job Description :

  • Position Title: Technical Service Engineer / Staff
    Department: After Sales / Service Department
    Reports to: Technical Service Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for power transformer installations and operations at customer sites.
  • Conduct on-site inspection, testing, and commissioning of power transformers before handover to the customer.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities for installed transformers.
  • Analyze transformer failures or abnormalities and prepare detailed technical reports with root cause analysis and corrective action recommendations.
  • Coordinate with Design, QC, and Production teams regarding customer feedback and field performance improvements.
  • Prepare service schedules, field service reports, and maintenance records.
  • Support warranty claim evaluations and ensure prompt corrective actions are taken.
  • Provide technical training or guidance to customers or service partners when required.
  • Ensure all service activities comply with company safety standards and technical procedures.
  • Participate in FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) or SAT (Site Acceptance Test) with customers.
  • Support sales or marketing team by providing technical data and service cost estimation when needed.

Qualifications :

Education:

  • Diploma's Degree (D3) / Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Electrical Engineering (Power/Energy major preferred).

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years experience in technical service, testing, or maintenance of power transformers

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of power transformer design, testing parameters, and protection systems.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical singleline diagrams (SLD), wiring diagrams, and test reports.
  • Hands-on experience with testing instruments (insulation resistance, turns ratio, winding resistance, oil BDV, etc.).
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills for field issues.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures (K3) during installation and maintenance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic reporting tools.
  • Good communication and coordination skills with customers and internal departments.
  • Fluent in English (reading technical manuals and reporting).
