Job Description
The Engineering Supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily operations of the engineering department to ensure all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems are well‑maintained and functioning efficiently. This role supports the Chief Engineer in maintaining safety, reliability, and operational excellence across the property.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily engineering operations, including maintenance, repair, and preventive maintenance programs.
- Assign tasks and monitor the performance of engineering team members.
- Ensure all hotel equipment, systems, and facilities operate efficiently and safely.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back‑of‑house facilities.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair situations.
- Assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules and tracking system performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, regulations, and hotel policies.
- Coordinate with other departments to support operational needs and minimize disruptions.
- Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
- Assist in inventory control of engineering supplies, tools, and spare parts.
- Support energy‑saving initiatives and sustainability programs.
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and building systems.
- Good understanding of preventive maintenance and troubleshooting techniques.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations.
- Basic computer skills and ability to handle maintenance reporting systems.
- Good command of English (spoken and written).
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle emergency situations.
