Chandra Asri Group, through its subsidiary PT Chandra Asri Konsultasi (CAK), has introduced a Shared Service Center (SSC) to strengthen operation and support business growth its subsidiary. The SCC support back office service in areas such as finance, human resource, procurement, customer operation, and information technology (IT). CAK manages administrative operations for the company's asset in Singapore, Aster Chemicals & Energy Pte.Ltd (Aster)
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction of sourcing and procurement operations, ensuring delivery of business value through innovation, agility, and supplier competitiveness.
- Coach, develop, and inspire a team of >10 advisors, fostering a culture of performance, accountability, and growth.
- Own and enhance the Category Management & Contracting Process (CMCP), driving consistency across contract strategy, execution, and supplier lifecycle management.
- Build executive-level supplier relationships and partnership models to unlock mutual value and improve supply chain resilience.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, HSSE standards, ethical sourcing policies, and regulatory frameworks.
- Monitor market trends and shifts, translating insights into actionable procurement strategies and risk mitigation plans.
- Champion the use of digital procurement tools and data-driven decision-making to optimize processes and reporting.
- Promote synergy across business units within the Chandra Asri group, enabling standardization and best practice sharing.
- Serve as the commercial escalation point for high-impact negotiations and complex supplier issues.
Candidate Requirements
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management (MCIPS certification preferred).
- Experience: Minimum 10 years' experience in Contracting & Procurement within the oil & gas, chemicals, or manufacturing sectors—with proven leadership of multidisciplinary procurement teams.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to mentor and manage large teams, nurture talent, and lead through organizational change.
- Stakeholder Influence: Strong interpersonal skills to engage C-suite executives, suppliers, and internal cross-functional stakeholders.
- Strategic Acumen: In-depth expertise in category strategy design, commercial negotiations, and supplier performance governance.
- Governance & Compliance: Strong knowledge of procurement law, industry regulations, and HSSE principles.
- Global Mindset: Experience navigating regional and global supply markets, with the capability to lead in a hybrid/virtual work environment.
- Strategic Thinking & Execution: Ability to align procurement strategies with business needs, market conditions, and corporate objectives. Strong decision-making and analytical skills.
- Capability to work effectively in a virtual environment to support business operations in Singapore.
