Job Description

To drive the growth of Sharia Bancassurance by developing innovative Sharia products and leading distribution-related projects. This role ensures seamless product launches through rigorous technical documentation, project management, and strategic reporting to support executive decision-making.

Core Objectives
  • Product Development: Design and launch Sharia insurance products tailored for the bank’s customer segments.
  • Project Improvement: Deliver distribution-focused projects on time and within budget, scope & quality standards.
  • Deliver clear, executive-level reports and presentations that drive informed decision-making.
  • Sharia Compliance: Ensure all initiatives strictly adhere to Sharia governance and local regulatory standards.
Preferred Skills
  • Bancassurance: Expertise in insurance-bank partnership models and the integration of products into banking sales systems.
  • Project Management: Proficiency in leading project lifecycles, specifically managing scope, budget, and timelines to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Product Development: Mastery of the end-to-end technical documentation and review process required to move a product from concept to official launch.
  • Executive Reporting: Ability to draft professional PowerPoint decks and Word reports on various business topics—including project updates and sales performance—to support management decision-making.
Qualifications

Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Finance, Economics, Sharia Business, Mathematics, or a related field.

Work Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in Bancassurance, Product Development, or Project Management within the Insurance or Banking industry. Proven track record in managing distribution-focused projects and delivering technical product documentation.

Responsibilities
  • Product Lifecycle Management (25%): Execute the end-to-end product development process by conducting market research and collaborating with other departments to meet customer needs and achieve revenue targets.
  • Project Improvement & Optimization (25%): Lead distribution related projects by managing resources and timelines to ensure all initiatives are delivered on time, within the agreed budget, scope, and quality standards.
  • Strategic Communication & Management Reporting (25%): Develop high-quality presentations and reports to secure project approvals, provide product updates, or fulfill ad-hoc management requests for executive decision-making.
  • Stakeholder Integration & Management (15%): Synchronize project goals between Sun Life and the bank partners by leading regular meetings to ensure operational alignment and resource efficiency.
  • Sharia Governance & Regulatory Compliance (10%): Ensure all product features and marketing materials align with Sharia principles and local financial regulations to mitigate legal and ethical risks.
