About the role

We are seeking a highly capable Risk Management Lead to oversee the local risk control function of our fintech business in Indonesia. This role requires a balance of analytical skill, local market awareness, and strong cross-cultural communication. The ideal candidate will serve as the key bridge between the Indonesia team and our headquarters in Beijing.

What you'll be doing

Data and Analytical Capability:

  • Utilize basic SQL and data analysis skills to extract and interpret operational and credit performance data.
  • Understand fundamental consumer lending and credit risk concepts such as approval rate, credit limit, credit line management, and A/B testing in credit policy.
  • Collaborate with the HQ risk team on policy optimization, segmentation, and data-driven decision-making.

Communication and Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between the local Indonesia team and the Beijing risk management team.
  • Ensure smooth, timely, and accurate communication of all risk-related matters, including market events, regulatory updates, and operational incidents.
  • When significant local events occur (e.g., public demonstrations or major economic shifts), promptly inform the HQ team to support timely strategic adjustments.
  • Coordinate with HQ in preparing high-quality reports, materials, and documentation for regulators, partners, or investors.

Regulatory & External Stakeholder Awareness:

  • Closely monitor and interpret updates from local regulators (e.g., OJK, AFPI) and funding partners.
  • Summarize and communicate regulatory announcements accurately, ensuring that relevant teams understand and comply with requirements.
  • Proactively work with HQ to ensure timely, compliant, and professional submission of required materials.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a risk management, credit analysis, or compliance role within the fintech operations, P2P or related business processes is preferred
  • Basic proficiency in SQL and data interpretation.
  • Familiarity with consumer lending, credit scoring, and fintech industry practices.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills, with sensitivity to local context and cultural nuances.
  • Bilingual in English and Bahasa Indonesia; Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
