We are looking for a dynamic leader to head our client's Resource Pool Department—home to internal developer teams responsible for building and revamping proprietary HR and procurement software products. These applications are deployed on-premise for client use and are core to current revenue generation and future growth.
The Department Head will manage a team of developers and engineers, ensure smooth software delivery, balance resourcing across multiple active projects, and uphold quality, timeline, and budget standards. This is a strategic role with a strong focus on team leadership, technical planning, and project-level commercial responsibility.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage internal development teams working on HR and procurement software.
  • Ensure timely delivery of application upgrades, feature rollouts, and issue resolutions.
  • Work closely with Product Owners and Commercial leads to align technical execution with customer needs.
  • Assign and monitor workloads to maximize team efficiency and ensure optimal resource utilization.
  • Oversee software development lifecycle including coding, testing, documentation, deployment, and support.
  • Ensure all applications meet modern standards in UI/UX, performance, scalability, and cybersecurity.
  • Maintain budget oversight and provide reporting on progress, risks, and cost controls.
  • Foster a high-performing culture focused on innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years managing technical teams.
  • Proven track record delivering enterprise software in HR, ERP, or procurement domains.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices and Agile methodologies.
  • Prior experience managing on-premise application development and upgrades.
  • Strong people leadership and team development skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, project cost estimation, and financial reporting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
