Job Summary
The MEP Supervisor – Project Development is responsible for supervising and monitoring Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing works on site to ensure they are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This role works closely with contractors, consultants, and internal project teams to ensure quality control, proper installation, and smooth project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Site Supervision & Coordination
1. Supervise daily MEP installation activities (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and ELV systems).
2. Ensure MEP works are carried out according to approved shop drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
3. Coordinate with main contractor, subcontractors, and consultants to resolve MEP issues and site constraints.
4. Monitor progress and ensure completion based on project program and milestones.
5. Conduct inspections and report any deviations or non-compliance to project management.
Quality & Technical Compliance
1. Verify accuracy and quality of MEP installation, equipment installation, and testing & commissioning works.
2. Review MEP shop drawings, material submissions, and RFI responses.
3. Ensure compliance with codes & standards (SNI, PLN, PUIL, ASHRAE, NFPA, etc.).
4. Support preparation of as-built drawings and technical documentation.
Coordination with Other Disciplines
1. Ensure MEP installations are coordinated with civil/structural and architectural works.
2. Attend technical and coordination meetings, raising MEP-related matters proactively.
3. Assist in resolving site clashes and updating revisions when required.
Testing, Commissioning & Handover
1. Monitor and support testing & commissioning of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, water supply, drainage, pump rooms, fire safety systems, etc.).
2. Verify system performance and ensure completion of snag lists and punch lists.
3. Assist in handover process including manuals, test reports, and system certifications.
Safety & Compliance
1. Ensure MEP works follow site HSE procedures and safety protocols.
2. Conduct toolbox meetings with subcontractors and monitor safe working practices.
Documentation & Reporting
1. Maintain daily site reports, inspection logs, and progress records.
2. Monitor material delivery, inventory, and installation progress.
3. Submit weekly updates to the Project / MEP Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements
1. Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline.
2. Minimum 5–7 years experience in MEP supervision for property development, construction, villas, hotels, or mixed-use projects.
3. Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, fire safety, and low-voltage systems.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting MEP drawings and technical documentation.
5. Familiar with construction standards, SNI & industry engineering guidelines.
6. Strong coordination, problem-solving, and communication skills.
7. Proficient in MS Office & AutoCAD (Revit is a plus).
8. Able to work independently and manage subcontractors on site.
9. High attention to detail, discipline, and integrity.
