Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, analyze, and monetize dislocations and mispricings in financial markets, with a primary focus on metals.
- Develop, implement, and manage derivatives trading strategies using all applicable instruments within the metals complex.
- Contribute to the design and execution of paper trading strategies in collaboration with the trading team.
- Build and maintain relationships with market counterparties such as brokers, banks, and trading platforms to explore new business opportunities.
- Create and manage daily dashboards to monitor market activity, risk exposures, and trading performance.
- Collaborate with the sales team to discuss market drivers, inefficiencies, and intangible optionality to generate actionable trade ideas.
- Ensure all trades comply with the company's risk framework, governance policies, and trading limits approved by the Board of Directors.
- Lead the metals futures trading desk's role in implementing new risk management systems for physical and financial commodity transactions.
- Actively monitor market developments and adjust strategies accordingly to optimize risk-adjusted returns.
- Ensure alignment of all trading activities with regulatory standards and internal compliance policies.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualification in Business, Finance, or Management is desirable.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in commodities trading and structuring.
- Hands-on experience in both physical and financial trading of metals (especially copper and gold) is an advantage.
- Strong understanding of derivative instruments and risk management principles.
- Commercially minded with a track record of innovation and strategic thinking.
- Ability to operate independently and handle international trading matters effectively.
- Experience working across multiple geographies and with diverse stakeholders is preferred.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
- High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
