Overview
The Lead DevOps Engineer is responsible for leading and managing the implementation of DevOps practices across the organization. This role focuses on designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, ensuring smooth integration between development and operations, and optimizing cloud infrastructure (especially GCP) to support scalable, reliable, and efficient deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub.
- Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, preferably on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Collaborate with development, QA, and product teams to enhance release processes and deployment efficiency.
- Automate deployment, configuration, and monitoring for improved system reliability.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and ensure consistent system provisioning practices.
- Integrate and manage tools such as Jira, JetBrains, and BrowserStack within the DevOps environment.
- Troubleshoot deployment and infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.
- Mentor and guide DevOps engineers to adopt best practices and automation culture.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps.
- Strong experience with Jenkins, GitHub, Jira, JetBrains, and BrowserStack.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud management.
- Experience working in cloud environments such as GCP, AWS, or Azure (GCP preferred).
- Google Cloud Fundamental Certification is a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Strong leadership and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment.
- Preferred candidate who can join immediately (ASAP).
Nice to Have
- Experience in security compliance, cost optimization, or automated testing.
- Familiarity with microservices deployment, observability, and performance monitoring tools.
- Exposure to DevSecOps principles and agile delivery methodologies.
