Project Control – Construction Sector – Candidate Qualifications

1. Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CCP, or Primavera P6 certification) are an advantage.

2. Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience in project control or project scheduling within the construction industry.
  • Familiarity with large-scale construction projects (infrastructure, commercial, or industrial).

3. Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in project scheduling software (Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or equivalent).
  • Strong command of Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
  • Solid understanding of cost control, budgeting, progress measurement, and performance analysis.
  • Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and other project control methodologies.

4. Analytical and Organizational Skills:

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in project tracking and reporting.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines under pressure.

5. Communication and Teamwork:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders.
  • Able to present reports and project performance updates clearly to senior management.
  • Team-oriented, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

6. Other Requirements:

  • Good understanding of construction contracts, procurement processes, and project life cycle.
  • Willingness to work on-site or travel to project locations if required.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); additional language skills are a plus.
