Copper Bonnet Bistro & Bar is an established restaurant located in Labuan Bajo, Komodo, NTT. We are looking for a Purchasing & Logistics Specialist to procure ingredients from Bali, Java, and Flores in order to maintain the quality that our customers expect. We're looking for a highly motivated and detail oriented person to oversee our purchasing, receiving, and warehouse stock by working with vendors and ordering ingredients/supplies to keep the restaurant well stocked.
This is a critical role that works to streamline our ordering processes, ensure proper stock quantities, and collaborate with vendors. This person will focus on controlling costs, avoiding ingredient shortages, and ensuring that items arrive at the restaurant when needed. Your ability to analyze problems and create workable solutions will help you excel in this position.
In this role, you will work closely with the chef and general manager to analyze sales trends in order to set minimum stock quantities for each item. You will learn our shipping methods, then you will lead all parts of the procurement and purchasing process, from vendor relations to ordering, logistics, receiving, stocking, and inventory.
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing and monitoring the overall warehouse operations including processing, receiving, packaging goods, goods return and inventory control
- Work with kitchen leadership and general manager to analyze sales data and identify pars
- Maintain a database of vendor and pricing information
- Check item prices daily, weekly, monthly and negotiate prices with vendors to reduce to ensure we get the best pricing
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records
- Conduct regular stock checks and periodic physical inventory counts to reconcile with expected quantities and report any discrepancies
- Receive incoming goods, inspect them for quality and quantity, and verify them against delivery documents
- Schedule and manage deliveries to the restaurant
- Manage relationships with vendors and freight forwarders
- Ensure the warehouse is clean, tidy, and well-organized at all times
- Fulfill orders for Sea Creatures Diving, our sister company
Job Requirements:
- Willingness to live and work in Labuan Bajo, Komodo, NTT
- 2 years in similar position
- Strong planning, analytical skill, and problem solving skills
- Experience in food and beverage or grocery
- Bachelors degree preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to speak english and bahasa Indonesia
- Willingness to work weekends and holidays, as scheduled
- Ability to lift 30kg
