Educational Background:
- Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering or a related technical field.
Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
- Advanced knowledge of RF systems, satellite communications, and teleport operations.
- Familiar with ground segment components such as antennas, LNBs, up/down converters, and modems.
- Experience in IP network systems is an advantage.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and signal flow diagrams.
- Experience using network monitoring or management tools is an advantage.
- Willing to work in a 24/7 operational environment (shift and on-call).
- Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- High commitment to safety, reliability, and operational excellence.
The GSS Engineer will be responsible for supporting teleport operations and ensuring the reliability of ground segment systems, including but not limited to:
- Supporting the Network Operations Center (NOC) in daily teleport operations.
- Coordinating with vendors and internal teams for incident resolution.
- Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on teleport and RF systems.
- Conducting system monitoring, fault isolation, and troubleshooting.
- Supporting installation, configuration, and testing of satellite and network equipment.
- Preparing maintenance logs, documentation, and technical reports.
- Assisting with system upgrades, expansions, and new service deployments.
- Ensuring compliance with safety standards and engineering best practices.
