The Role:
The successful candidate will join the Fremantle Global Legal, Business Affairs, and Rights team, and must demonstrate solid experience in advising on business and legal matters within the media production, entertainment, and intellectual property industries in Indonesia.
A strong background and extensive experience in entertainment and scripted production, as well as in licensing, acquisition, and/or distribution, will be highly preferred.
This individual will be responsible for providing legal advice across a broad range of Fremantle Indonesia's business operations. This includes drafting, reviewing, and/or negotiating commercial terms in various agreements with both local and international clients and partners.
The role also involves close collaboration with various departments within Fremantle Indonesia and the wider Fremantle Group. Therefore, fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia spoken and written is essential.

Main responsibilities:
- Strong analytical skills in providing legal advice in response to queries from management and other departments.
- Conduct preliminary reviews of both commercial and legal aspects of new projects as outlined in proposals, agreements, correspondence, and other legal documents, and provide legal opinions to the relevant supervisor.
- Ability to draft and negotiate agreements and other legal documents, including contracts for personnel, consultants, and purchase agreements.
- Familiarity with and/or experience in applying for and registering intellectual property with the Indonesian Intellectual Property Office (Ditjen HAKI), including providing recommendations on related IP issues.
- Assist in selecting and analyzing relevant international and national legal materials for the preparation of reports or legal opinions, including background materials, reports, papers, and other documents as requested by the supervisor.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
Essential Experience Required:
- A minimum of 4–5 years of experience as a legal officer, contracts administrator, or in other relevant roles within a law firm or corporate legal environment, preferably in media production or entertainment. Experience with contract management solutions is preferred.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Understanding of or experience in merger and acquisition (M&A) transactions is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with strong skills in setting and managing priorities effectively.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a high standard for the quality of work produced.
