Position Summary

The
New Venture Leader
is a hands-on entrepreneur within the company — responsible for turning business ideas into reality. This role goes beyond strategy and innovation: it requires executional excellence, operational rigor, and leadership to bring new ventures from concept to full-scale operation. The ideal candidate combines business acumen with strong implementation skills — a
builder
who can design, launch, and grow new businesses within a larger organization.

Key Responsibilities

1. Opportunity Identification & Validation

  • Spot high-potential growth opportunities aligned with company strategy.
  • Conduct rapid market validation, customer interviews, and prototype testing.
  • Translate insights into actionable business concepts with clear commercial potential.

2. Business Launch & Execution

  • Develop and own the end-to-end business plan — from concept to go-live.
  • Build and manage the business infrastructure: operations, supply chain, marketing, and sales.
  • Define pricing, go-to-market, and partnership strategies to drive adoption.

3. Team Building & Leadership

  • Assemble and lead cross-functional launch teams (internal or external).
  • Manage day-to-day operations of new ventures to ensure sustainable performance.
  • Establish KPIs, track progress, and drive accountability across teams.

4. Continuous Improvement & Scaling

  • Gather customer and market feedback to refine the offering and business model.
  • Optimize operations for efficiency, scalability, and profitability.
  • Prepare the venture for potential spin-off, integration, or scale-up phases.

5. Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Collaborate with internal departments (finance, legal, operations, marketing) to support launch.
  • Build relationships with external partners, vendors, and investors where needed.
  • Report regularly to senior leadership on progress, risks, and outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA or entrepreneurial experience preferred).
  • 7–10 years in business building, P&L management, or operational leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of launching and running new businesses, products, or divisions.
  • Experience working in startup environments or leading internal ventures within corporates.
  • Strong operator — can turn plans into measurable results.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action and ownership.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional leadership.
  • Financially literate: able to model, manage, and improve P&L performance.
  • Resilient, adaptable, and capable of thriving in ambiguity.
