About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented
MBOM Engineer
to support our manufacturing operations. This position is key in bridging engineering and production by ensuring accurate and efficient Manufacturing Bill of Materials (MBOM) development. You will work closely with various departments to ensure that product structures are clearly defined and aligned with production capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in MBOM/EBOM management or manufacturing engineering in the automotive industry
- Good knowledge of PLM/SAP systems
- Solid experience with Material Change Management processes
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Relevant experience in Sourcing, Material Control, or Production Management in the automotive sector is an advantage
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate across functions
- Proficient in English, both spoken and written
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and update the MBOM structure in coordination with Engineering BOM (EBOM)
- Ensure MBOM alignment with production processes across Body Shop, Paint Shop, and General Assembly
- Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, and production teams for material readiness and changes
- Support engineering change implementation and ensure timely BOM updates
- Validate and control MBOM accuracy in PLM and ERP (SAP) systems
- Monitor material readiness and support issue resolution related to BOM or part usage
- Provide support in sourcing and material tracking activities when necessary
