Purchasing Staff / Purchasing Officer
Job Description:
- Handle the end-to-end purchasing process for goods, materials, and services in accordance with company procedures and policies.
- Source, evaluate, and maintain relationships with local and overseas suppliers (including Chinese suppliers).
- Conduct price comparisons and negotiations to obtain the best value in terms of price, quality, and delivery time.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders, monitor delivery schedules, and follow up to ensure timely arrival of goods.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments (e.g., warehouse, logistics, project teams) to align purchasing activities with operational needs.
- Maintain and update purchasing records, supplier databases, and contract documentation accurately.
- Assist in coordinating import-related activities when required.
- Provide translation and communication support in Mandarin during supplier meetings, contract discussions, and daily coordination.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement (preferably in construction, manufacturing, or mining industry).
- Proficient in Mandarin (spoken and written)
is a must. - Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
- Familiar with procurement processes, vendor management, and basic import documentation.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and purchasing systems.
- Able to work independently and in a team, with good attention to detail.
- Willing to be placed in North Jakarta until the end of 2025 and relocate to Sanggau, Pontianak afterward.
