Job Description

A Network engineer's role is to plan, implement, and manage the day-to-day support and maintenance of network and core services. Cloud network engineer are also responsible for choosing the best cloud expertise and scaling cloud services to meet the increasing demands of businesses.

Job Descriptions:

  • Analyze and troubleshoot network customer problems.
  • Perform installation and configuration, maintenance.
  • Make a technical report regarding the work that has been done.
  • Consult with customer to discover growth strategies.
  • Resolve Network issue and monitor network performance and utilization.

Requirements:

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.

At least 1 year of working experience in System Integrator, Cloud Provider or IT Managed Service Company.

Deep knowledge in network routing, switching, security, wireless, VPN and SD-WAN

Hands on implementing product from CISCO, Ruckus, Huawei and Forti.

Excellent analytics and troubleshooting skill.

Familiarity with network protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, proxies, and DHCP and solid understanding of protocols, devices, commands, topologies, methodologies, and best practices in networking.

Ability to handle network vulnerabilities

Job Description
  • Maintain and immediate do remediation on the Tickets related to Network Performance and service degradation
  • Send the ist Communication notification to users which is validated by company via email or intranet, and closing and/or escalating the ticket to Company's IT staff in case of necessity. The ticket will not be closed until company agrees that the issue is resolved.
  • Maintain Fortinet Appliances on the Firewalls
  • Maintain cisco Communication Servers and avaya pbx system
  • Ensure the VoIP network has a qos
  • Check the status of a registeredit Infrastructure to ensure that it is operating within acceptable limits
  • To respond events generated by monitored device by creating ticket incident and assigned to concern parties
  • To get acknowledge from concern parties that ticket has been response
  • Send the IST Communication notification to users which is validated by company via email or intranet
  • Be responsible for responding to alerts generated by the monitoring system, covering incident ticket creation, incident notification to company, Level-1 analysis and troubleshooting.
  • Incident Report as part of vendor's responsibility must be submitted immediately after troubleshooting to company's it Staff completed with analysis and taken actions.
  • Incident Report (could be using Flash Info mechanism) must be escalated it to all concern parties. Time to produce Flash Info will follow the sla defined later (example below 20 minutes).
  • Use Tools to monitor the availability of systems servers and network line (i.e. Solarwind, etc).
  • Proactively raise incident / problem into operational service desk or ticketing system regarding project activity where required
  • Supporting for network and service desk improvement
  • Provide risk or advice regarding pre-implementation project where required

Proactively reminder or notify the team regarding project process and timeline implementation

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a Diploma-3 Degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Minimum 1 year of relevant experience handling network environments is required.
  • CISCO CCNA or equivalent certification is highly preferred.
  • Good knowledge of basic networking/telecommunication.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Exchange.
  • Basic knowledge of all enterprise hardware and software used within the organization.
  • Familiar with network devices & software, including:
  • Managing Firewall (CISCO ASA)
  • Managing Proxy Server (CISCO WSA)
  • Managing Wired and Wireless Networks (LAN/WAN/WIN/Wi-Fi/SD-WAN/VLAN)
