About the role
As the IT Infrastructure and Security Senior Supervisor you will play a crucial role in ensuring the security and reliability of the company's critical IT infrastructure. Design, implement, and operate the organization's IT infrastructure and security to ensure high availability, performance, and protection of systems, networks, and data. Ensure the operationality, stability, integrity, and security of an organization's technology systems and data.
Duties and Responsibilities
- System Administration: Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, operating systems, and applications to ensure they run smoothly.
- Network Management: Designing, implementing, and monitoring an organization's network, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems.
- Data Center Operations: Managing physical and cloud-based data centers, including storage, power, and cooling systems, to ensure continuous uptime.
- Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity: Developing and testing plans to quickly restore IT services and data in case of a significant outage or disaster, minimizing downtime and data loss.
- Hardware and Software Maintenance: Performing routine tasks like backups, patch management, and system updates to keep all systems current and secure.
- Threat and Vulnerability Management: Proactively identifying weaknesses in the infrastructure and systems, often through security logs and network analysis, and implementing solutions to mitigate them.
- Access Control: Administering and managing user permissions and authentication systems to ensure that only authorized personnel can access sensitive data and systems.
- Security Systems Management: Configuring and maintaining security tools such as firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), antivirus software, and web filtering.
- Incident Response: Responding to security incidents and breaches, performing root cause analysis, and implementing solutions to prevent future attacks.
- Policy and Compliance: Developing and enforcing security policies and procedures to ensure the organization meets legal and industry-specific compliance standards.
Requirement
- Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security management.
- Strong technical expertise in major operating systems, particularly Linux/UNIX and Windows Server, including configuration, hardening, and performance tuning
- Strong experience in network architecture, protocols (TCP/IP), and hardware (routers, switches, firewalls). This includes experience with WAN/LAN, SD-WAN, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.
- Strong experience with virtualization platforms like VMware. You must also be proficient in managing infrastructure on major cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong experience in managing enterprise-level storage solutions (SAN, NAS) and implementing and managing data backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
- Security Tools and Technologies: expert with a wide range of security technologies, including Firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, Endpoint protection and Vulnerability Management
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and identify innovative solutions
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional team.
