Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee the end-to-end cost control function across mining operations, ensuring strong alignment between budget, forecast, and actual performance.
  • Provide comprehensive and detailed costing analysis (project, OPEX, and CAPEX) to support management decision-making.
  • Monitor and review actual costs vs. approved budgets, identify variances, and propose corrective actions.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor cost reduction and efficiency improvement programs across operational and project processes.
  • Control and validate all site-related financial matters, including Rencana Anggaran Biaya (RAB), petty cash, and bank accounts.
  • Support financial audits, account reconciliations, and compliance reviews in coordination with internal/external auditors.
  • Prepare and present accurate cost management and performance reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with operations, project management, and finance teams to ensure cost efficiency and compliance with company policies and mining regulations.
  • Provide strategic insights and recommendations for long-term financial sustainability of mining projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management (Master's Degree is a plus).
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in cost control/finance, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven working experience in the Mining industry (nickel, coal, bauxite, or mineral projects is strongly preferred).
  • Solid knowledge of cost control systems, project budgeting, and financial modeling.
  • Familiar with accounting principles (PSAK/IFRS), audit processes, and strong MS Excel/MS Office skills (ERP/SAP experience is an advantage).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
  • Proactive, with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities to manage cross-functional teams.
  • Able to work independently with a strong sense of ownership, while maintaining collaborative teamwork.
  • Willing to travel to mining sites on a regular basis.
