The Role

As the
QC Instrument Coordinator
, you will be on the frontline, responsible for ensuring all project instrumentation, control, and telecommunication installations comply with client technical specifications, industry codes (such as ISA/IEC), and rigorous quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the specific
    Inspection and Test Plan (ITP)
    for all Instrumentation work.
  • Lead and coordinate all on-site instrument inspections and tests (e.g.,
    Loop Checks
    , Calibration,
    Functional Tests
    , Continuity/Insulation Tests).
  • Ensure all equipment and instruments (
    transmitters, control valves, analyzers, DCS/PLC systems
    ) are received, stored, installed, and tested according to procedure.
  • Manage and control all QC documentation, including
    Quality Dossiers, As-Built Drawings,
    and calibration certificates.
  • Act as the primary liaison between the Engineering Team, the Instrumentation Subcontractor, and the Client/Third-Party representatives regarding all quality issues.
  • Issue and follow up on
    Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
    , ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions.
  • Ensure strict adherence to
    HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment)
    standards within the instrumentation work area.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Instrumentation Engineering, Physics Engineering, Electrical Engineering
    , or a related field.
  • Minimum of
    2-3 years
    of working experience as a QC Inspector/Coordinator on large-scale EPC projects, especially in the
    Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Power Generation
    sectors.
  • Must possess relevant certifications/competencies
    (e.g., Instrumentation Certification, HSE Expert Certification, or specific vendor certifications are a strong plus).
  • In-depth knowledge of International codes and standards (e.g., IEC, ISA, API).
  • Proficient in instrument calibration, loop checking, and instrument pre-commissioning/commissioning.
  • Strong coordination,
    problem-solving
    , and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Willingness to be
    site-based
    with the applicable rotation schedule.
