Key Responsibilities
- Import Planning & Strategy
• Develop import schedules and plans based on company needs.
• Analyze import costs, customs duties, taxes, and logistic trends.
- Import Operations Management
• Supervise the end-to-end import process, from purchase order issuance, shipment arrangements, customs clearance, to warehouse delivery.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of import documentation (Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading, COO, etc.).
• Liaise with shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and government authorities.
• prepare all documents required by customs
- Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure compliance with all customs, trade, and government regulations.
• Handle customs inspections, audits, and resolve regulatory issues.
- Team Supervision & Coordination
• Lead, guide, and train import staff to follow standard operating procedures.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Purchasing, Finance, Warehouse) to ensure smooth operations.
- Problem Solving & Risk Management
• Resolve shipment delays, documentation errors, and unexpected charges.
• Provide quick solutions to minimize financial and operational risks.
- Reporting & Documentation
• Prepare and submit regular reports on import activities, costs, and performance metrics.
• Maintain accurate records of import transactions and compliance documents.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in import/export or logistics, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of international trade regulations, INCOTERMS, and customs procedures.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
• Problem-solving and leadership abilities.
