Job Summary
  • Conduct all aspects of inspections including product pre-shipment inspection (Final Random Inspection (FRI)), production in-process inspection, and client\'s sample review, as defined by quality and safety requirements.
  • Conduct factory audit and actively work with factories/suppliers to ensure that factories and manufacturing processes are in line with TMS and client\'s protocol requirements and suitable to make products that meet quality and safety requirements.
  • Follow up on quality issues, e.g., intervention test failure, customer complaint, etc.
  • Work with factory in-house laboratory to ensure that products are tested in professional and competent manner.
  • Work with toolmaker and factories to ensure that tools manufacturing processes, and produced products meet TMS/client quality and safety requirements.

External – Manufacturing Vendors, Supplier, Testing Labs, Third-party inspection agencies, Subcontract Manufacturers, Raw Material Suppliers, Safety Labs

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform all aspects of inspection and sampling, including product pre-shipment inspection (Final Random Inspection (FRI)), production In-process Inspection and client sample review.
  • Conduct factory audit on quality and safety perspective as required.
  • Execute the necessary study or testing as per HK team request.
  • Follow up on quality and safety issues found during inspection and Feasibility/Intervention testing at factory level.
  • Support and follow up TMS quality and safety initiatives.
  • Engage in quality and safety review meetings, provide comments, and take appropriate actions.
  • Monitor factories activities/conditions regarding any issues (or potential issues) which affect quality, safety, or TMS/Client reputation and expectation.
  • Work with factory to ensure the chemical control management process in place.
  • Conduct audit to the factory in-house laboratory to ensure it is executed in a professional and competent manner.
  • Oversee the tool manufacturing process.
  • Follow up on all issues found with factories, toolmakers and TMS functions\' debugging as necessary.
Qualifications / Experience
  • Quality & safety assurance / Production / Engineering expertise in toys, premiums and/or children’s products.
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in new toys development / inspection / safety testing / manufacturing industry.
  • Proven ability and experience working in a factory production environment.
  • Familiarity with toy manufacturing processes and materials.
Education
  • Diploma in engineering or relevant scientific/technical discipline.
Job Knowledge / Skills
  • Knowledge of toys & premium manufacturing process.
  • Good command in written and spoken English and local language.
  • Good oral and written communication skill.
  • Knowledge in international Toys Safety Standards.
  • Knowledge in Quality Management System.
  • Knowledge in plush toy production preferred.
