Job Description:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the shipping agency & ship document, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of services.
- Supervise and coordinate with the boarding officers and agent onboard to streamline workflows, resolve operational issues, and improve overall service delivery.
- Oversee the coordination of shipments and ensure adherence to shipping schedules, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee the management and reconciliation of the EPDA, ensuring accurate estimation, disbursement, and timely payments of port-related costs (e.g., port fees, terminal handling charges, and other associated costs).
- Ensure the EPDA is managed effectively to avoid discrepancies and maintain transparency in disbursements.
- Regularly review and update EPDA estimates, ensuring they are aligned with current market conditions and actual port charges.
- Lead the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial performance reports to assess the agency's financial health.
- Identify areas for cost reduction, process improvements, and revenue growth while maintaining high service standards.
- Foster a positive work culture focused on teamwork, accountability, and operational efficiency.
- Address any customer complaints or concerns regarding shipping operations and work to resolve issues promptly.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations are exceeded.
- Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations regarding shipping, import/export, and port operations.
- Contribute to the development of long-term business strategies aimed at expanding the agency's market share, improving operational efficiency, and enhancing service offerings.
- Identify new business opportunities, potential partnerships, and ways to grow the agency's presence in existing and new markets.
Requirement:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Logistics, Shipping Management, or a related field (master's degree is a plus).
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in the shipping agency, with at least 3 years in a senior or leadership role in shipping agency company.
- Strong knowledge of shipping operations, port regulations, and EPDA best practices.
