About the Role

We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated 
Art Teacher
 to join our dynamic school community. The ideal candidate is someone who can inspire students to explore their artistic talents, think creatively, and express themselves through various art forms — from traditional techniques to modern digital media.

As part of our teaching team, you will play a key role in nurturing students' artistic skills, developing their confidence, and promoting a lifelong appreciation for the arts.

Job Description

  • Design and deliver engaging art lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
  • Introduce students to a wide range of art media, including drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, collage, and digital art.
  • Incorporate elements of art history and cultural context into lessons to broaden students' artistic perspectives.
  • Encourage experimentation, creative problem-solving, and individual expression.
  • Guide students in developing personal art projects and portfolios.
  • Evaluate and provide constructive feedback on students' artistic progress and effort.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that values creativity and collaboration.
  • Identify and support individual learning needs and artistic interests.
  • Organize and coordinate art exhibitions, student showcases, and school-wide creative events.
  • Collaborate with other teachers and departments for interdisciplinary projects (e.g., art in science, art in history).
  • Manage classroom materials, supplies, and art studio resources efficiently.
  • Promote appreciation of art within the school and broader community.

Job Qualifications

Education & Certification

  • Bachelor's Degree in Art Education, Fine Arts, Visual Communication, or related field (Master's Degree preferred).
  • Valid teaching certification or license (if applicable).
  • Proven experience teaching art in primary, secondary, or high school settings.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong practical skills in various art media (traditional and/or digital).
  • Knowledge of art theory, color, composition, and design principles.
  • Familiarity with art history, major art movements, and contemporary art trends.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and connect with students of different ages and abilities.
  • Comfortable integrating technology (e.g., iPads, drawing tablets, Adobe Creative Suite) into art lessons.
  • Creative, patient, organized, and passionate about arts education.
