About the role
We are seeking an experienced Supervisor Operational Transportation to join our dynamic team at PT. Toyota Tsusho Nusa Transport' in Bekasi, West Java. As a contract role, this position will play a crucial part in overseeing our transportation operations and ensuring the efficient delivery of our products.
What you'll be doing
- Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the transportation team, including drivers and delivery personnel
- Develop and implement efficient transportation plans and routes to optimise delivery schedules and minimise costs
- Monitor fleet performance and maintenance, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained and in compliance with safety regulations
- Liaise with clients and stakeholders to ensure timely and reliable delivery of goods
- Identify and resolve any operational issues or bottlenecks in the transportation process
- Provide training and development opportunities for the transportation team to improve their skills and performance
- Collaborate with other departments, such as warehousing and distribution, to ensure a seamless and integrated supply chain
What we're looking for
- Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in the transportation or logistics industry
- Strong understanding of transportation and distribution operations, including fleet management and route planning
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational challenges
- Proficient in data analysis and performance tracking to optimise transportation efficiency
- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills to liaise with clients and internal teams
- Knowledge of relevant transportation regulations and safety standards
- Adaptable and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment
