Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.)
Monitor database performance and optimize queries to ensure system efficiency.
Design and implement backup and recovery plans to secure critical business data.
Manage user access, permissions, and database security to prevent data breaches.
Perform database tuning and indexing to improve query performance and system response time.
Troubleshoot database errors, crashes, and performance issues.
Collaborate with development teams to support database schema design, data migration, and application deployment.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, database topology, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery for business continuity.
Qualifications:
1–3 years of experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
Proficiency in one or more database systems: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, MongoDB, etc.
Strong understanding of database design, normalization, indexing, and query optimization.
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.).
Knowledge of backup/recovery, replication, and clustering techniques.
Experience with scripting (SQL, Bash, or Python) for automation tasks.
