About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented kitchen and pastry chef to join our dynamic team at HONBUN Bakery in Central Jakarta. As a full-time kitchen and pastry chef, you will be responsible for creating and delivering experiences for our valued customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan, prepare and present a variety of delectable bread and pastry, showcasing your culinary expertise and creativity
  • Manage the kitchen operations, ensuring efficient workflow, food quality and consistency
  • Collaborate with the team to develop innovative menu items and seasonal offerings
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
  • Continuously research and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Extensive experience as a kitchen and pastry chef, preferably in a high-volume, fast-paced hospitality setting
  • Exceptional culinary skills, with a passion for creating visually appealing and flavourful dishes and desserts
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and quality control procedures
  • Excellent time management and organisational abilities to juggle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Effective communication and leadership skills to coordinate the kitchen team
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
