Role Overview

We are seeking an
Infrastructure Development & Trade Systems Analyst
to support applied research and policy advisory work related to multimodal logistics, transport infrastructure, and regulatory modernization. Based in Jakarta, this role is ideal for professionals with experience in infrastructure strategy, port development, or cross-border trade—particularly in fast-growing, archipelagic or maritime economies.

You will contribute to strategic diagnostics, investment planning documents, and stakeholder engagement materials for public-sector and multilateral clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze infrastructure networks, logistics systems, and trade performance indicators
  • Support the development of technical reports, investment briefs, and connectivity strategies
  • Track developments in Indonesian port modernization, inter-island shipping, and ASEAN trade integration
  • Identify regulatory barriers and institutional gaps in customs, transport, and infrastructure governance
  • Collaborate with global teams to prepare scenario models and infrastructure planning tools
  • Contribute to stakeholder engagement materials for ministries, port operators, and donor institutions

Qualifications

  • Degree in International Trade, Public Policy, Transport Planning, or Development Economics
  • 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure development, logistics consulting, or trade policy analysis
  • Familiarity with Indonesia's national logistics ecosystem, port systems, or regional trade agreements is preferred
  • Strong research and writing skills in English
  • Experience with public-sector advisory work, donor-funded programs, or development finance institutions is a plus
  • Knowledge of green port design, digital customs systems, or maritime connectivity is a bonus
