Job Description:
A Senior Associate serves as a secondary day-to-day client contact, supporting Account Manager/Account Leader. They provide support to multiple account teams and manage the flow of work and information to account team. Senior Associate must maintain a thorough understanding of client's business and industry and understand how to translate that knowledge into solid public relations counsel to different levels of client contacts. S/he will help to interpret and implement strategic plans for clients in conjunction with other team members. A Senior Associate's focus is on developing proficiency and the necessary skill set to become a successful PR practitioner.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the key day-to-day contact for clients, supporting Account Leaders/Managers in managing projects from concept to completion, on time and within budget.
- Collaborate with the team to develop strategic proposals and generate creative ideas to ensure program success.
- Meet with clients, engage in discussions, and maintain a strong understanding of industry issues affecting them directly or indirectly.
- Conduct and manage research to analyze client issues and inform strategic decisions.
- Design and implement media strategies, identify media trends, and maintain strong media relations through invitations, interviews, story pitching, and media events.
- Develop press materials including press releases, fact sheets, backgrounders, bios, articles, and social media content/timelines.
- Handle media inquiries, prepare responses, and ensure effective media outreach.
- Support relationship-building with other public groups and stakeholders, including community organizations, through proposals, meetings, and negotiations.
- Participate in new business pitches by contributing research, insights, creative ideas, and proposals.
- Coordinate with external vendors such as event organizers, printing companies, and production houses to ensure quality deliverables.
- Supervise junior staff in writing, editing, and meeting deadlines, while maintaining clear communication with managers on project progress.
Requierment:
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years' experience in a PR agency or client service role.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent writing and verbal communication in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
- Ability to develop proposals, creative ideas, and media strategies.
- Good understanding of media landscape and trends.
- Proven experience in media relations and stakeholder engagement.
- Solid research and analytical skills.
- Digital savvy with social media management experience.
- Ability to coordinate with external vendors.
- Leadership skills to supervise junior staff.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
