We are seeking talented Front-end Web Developers with deep expertise in
native JavaScript
to join our web engineering team. You will build high-performing, accessible, and maintainable web applications without relying on heavy frameworks, focusing on clean code and web standards such as W3C.
Our client base offers broad possibilities for creative and innovative development work. Industries include automotive, education, government, hospitality, culture, and financial services.
The Web Developer reports to the Head of Technology Services as a member of our Web Technology practice.
This is a contract position suitable for remote work.
What you will be doing
- Develop responsive web applications using
vanilla JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 - Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows modern ES6+ standards
- Build reusable components and libraries without framework dependencies
- Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability
- Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect, accessible UI/UX
- Debug and resolve cross-browser compatibility issues
- Work closely with back-end engineers to integrate RESTful APIs
Required skills:
- 5 years of professional experience in front-end development
- Native JavaScript (ES6+)

- HTML5 semantic markup and CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid, animations)
- Asynchronous programming (Promises, async/await, Fetch API)
- Responsive design principles and mobile-first development
- Build tools (Webpack, Vite, Rollup) and package managers (npm, yarn)
- Debugging using browser DevTools
- Web performance optimisation techniques
- Version control (Git)
