Assistant to Japanese Expert on Road Policy
Required Qualifications
Under the supervision and guidance of the Japanese Client's Expert on Road Policy in the Directorate General of Highways, Ministry of Public Works, the Assistant shall conduct, but not be limited to, the following works based on the Expert's instruction:
Responsibilities
- Support of research about the road sector in Indonesia.
- Interpretation between Japanese and Indonesian.
- Support communication between the Expert and relevant parties, and create minutes of meetings attended.
- Prepare documents or materials for meetings, site visits, and others.
- Translation of road-related articles published by the Indonesian Government or local media and verification of their content.
Employment type: Contract-based
Required Qualifications
- Japanese language fluency (especially in speaking). Holding N2 or a higher level in the Japanese Language Proficiency Test is an advantage. Knowledge of English (both in speaking and writing) is an advantage.
- Skills as an interpreter between Japanese and Indonesian.
- Proficient computer skills (MS. Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point).
- Minimum Bachelor Degree (S1) with at least 3 years of working experience in one or more of the following fields: Public Works, Construction, Infrastructure, etc. Working experience in government services is an advantage.
- Ability to take business trips of up to one week.
- Good interpersonal skills, adaptable, and willing to learn in a multi-cultural environment. Strong interest and good knowledge of international development issues are advantages.
- Limited to Indonesian nationals.
