Job Role
The IP PSE (Pre-Sales Engineer) is a solution expert responsible for driving the company's enterprise IP Datacom portfolio across financial institutions (FSI), internet service providers (ISP), and large key accounts in Indonesia. Acting as the technical frontliner, this role bridges product, sales, and engineering functions to ensure customized, competitive, and scenario-based networking solutions are successfully proposed and delivered.

The IP PSE will collaborate closely with account managers and technical teams to support opportunity discovery, technical solution design, bidding and RFP support, and direct customer engagement. This role requires strong knowledge of enterprise and carrier-grade network architectures, protocols, and competitor positioning, especially in verticals with complex IT environments such as finance and telecom. The ideal candidate has deep familiarity with routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, and end-to-end enterprise networking technologies, as well as the ability to build trusted relationships with technical decision-makers and senior stakeholders across sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Solution Design
  • Promote the Datacom portfolio (routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN, etc.) across financial services, ISPs, and enterprise clients.
  • Translate customer requirements into scenario-based, competitive technical solutions.
  • Design and deliver network architectures aligned with specific customer environments, especially in banking, telecom, and mission-critical operations.
  • Customer Engagement
  • Support sales teams in pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, requirement analysis, and customer workshops.
  • Build strong relationships with technical and business stakeholders in customer accounts to influence decision-making.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor to key enterprise clients and partners.
  • Project Operations
  • Lead technical proposal writing, BoQ creation, and solution defense during RFI/RFP stages.
  • Participate in tender responses, presenting the company's differentiated value against competitors.
  • Coordinate with engineering and delivery teams to ensure feasibility, cost-efficiency, and compliance of proposed solutions.
  • Market Development
  • Track competitors and market trends to enhance the company's positioning in the enterprise networking space.
  • Provide insights and feedback on customer needs, industry trends, and competitor strategies to optimize solution go-to-market.
  • Guide mid- and long-term roadmap planning and contribute to regional product competitiveness initiatives.
  • Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with sales, product, and R&D teams to align on solution strategy and execution.
  • Provide training and technical enablement to internal teams and partners to boost solution adoption and market confidence.
  • Support branding and marketing initiatives, including industry forums, webinars, and proof-of-concept activities.

Candidate Requirements

  • Education: At least a Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other ICT-related disciplines.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise ICT pre-sales, solution engineering, or Datacom product management.
  • Industry and Product Expertise:
  • Prior experience supporting sales in sectors such as Financial Services (FSI), ISPs, or large enterprise/key accounts.
  • Candidates with Datacom product manager background from financial institutions or telco vendors are a strong fit.
  • Industry Knowledge:
  • Good understanding of the network infrastructure landscape in banking, telecom, or service provider industries.
  • Familiar with common network transformation needs, competitive solutions, and industry trends.
  • Has experience engaging technical stakeholders, network architects, or IT leads in large enterprises or telcos.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Strong knowledge of IP networking, including Routers, switches, firewalls, SD-WAN
  • Familiarity with network protocols like IGP, BGP, SR, MPLS, SRv6, L2VPN, L3VPN
  • Familiar with enterprise and carrier-grade network architectures and challenges in multi-branch, cloud-connected, or regulated environments.
  • Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Mandarin proficiency is a plus.

  • Strong ability to translate technical concepts into business value for clients.
  • Proven collaboration skills with sales teams, product teams, and external customers.
  • Self-motivated, quick to learn, adaptable to fast-paced environments, and target-oriented.
