We Are Looking For
As HSE Manager – Data Center Projects & Operations you will be responsible to maintain a strong safety culture, achieve a "Zero Harm" workplace, to ensure the construction or project site remains safe and compliant with regulations, safeguards workers' well-being, and minimize environmental impact through proactive risk management and continuous improvement initiatives. This role plays a critical part for managing the overall HSE system on-site, encompassing the implementation of safety protocols, coordination with other specialists, reporting on safety performance, and the development and enforcement of safety policies.
Job Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for all safety matters and facilitate meetings to address safety concerns.
- Develop, implement, and update HSE policies and procedures to comply with local regulations, corporate standards, and contractual requirements.
- Ensure construction site safety program implementation including risk assessments, work permits, and control measures are effectively carried out and monitored.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Perform daily, weekly, and scheduled site inspections and audits to ensure safety protocols are adhered to and unsafe conditions are promptly rectified.
- Provide training and coaching to employees and contractors on HSE procedures; conduct drills and promote a positive safety culture.
- Lead and participate in investigation of accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Collect, analyze, and report HSE performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare periodic status reports for management and client review.
- Conduct safety kick-off meetings with subcontractors to communicate site-specific safety requirements and expectations.
- Conduct and participate in toolbox talks, safety trainings, and coordination meetings with internal and subcontractor teams.
- Organize and lead weekly and monthly safety meetings and safety committee sessions with subcontractors and the construction management team.
- Carry out HSE management walkthroughs together with the PMC/Client Management Team to identify improvement opportunities and reinforce compliance.
- Ensure emergency preparedness by conducting regular drills and reviewing emergency response plans.
- Promote and drive continuous improvement in HSE performance and culture across the project site.
Qualities You Should Have
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, HSE, Public Health, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as HSE Manager for construction in large-scale projects, data center, or energy sector will be beneficial.
- Must possess a valid General Occupational Health and Safety Expert Certificate (Ahli K3 Umum or Ahli K3 Konstruksi) issued by the Ministry of Manpower (Kemenaker).
- Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001, SMK3, Indonesian HSE regulations and relevant international standards.
- Proven experience in managing subcontractors and multi-disciplinary project teams.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and reporting skills with the ability to influence all levels of stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office / Suite applications.
- Ability to speak and write fluently in both English and Bahasa Indonesia.
