SAP ABAP Consultant (3 Years Experience)
Position Overview
The SAP ABAP Consultant will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining SAP ABAP programs to support various business processes. With around 3 years of experience, the consultant is expected to work independently on standard tasks while collaborating with functional consultants and business users to deliver high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP programs including Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms (RICEF).
- Perform ABAP development using Object-Oriented ABAP, ALV reports, SmartForms/Adobe Forms, and User Exits/BADIs.
- Collaborate with SAP functional teams (FI/CO, MM, SD, etc.) to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Conduct unit testing and support integration testing for developed objects.
- Troubleshoot and debug ABAP programs to resolve issues.
- Ensure compliance with SAP development standards and best practices.
- Provide technical documentation for all developments.
- Support SAP system upgrades, enhancements, and ongoing maintenance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience as an SAP ABAP Consultant.
- Strong knowledge of RICEF objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
- Proficiency in ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, ALV, and Debugging.
- Experience in Object-Oriented ABAP programming.
- Familiarity with SmartForms, Adobe Forms, and SAP Scripts.
- Experience with User Exits, BADIs, BAPIs, and Enhancements.
- Knowledge of IDocs, BDC, and Data Migration processes.
- Good understanding of SAP modules integration (FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, etc.).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
